This device can emulate BMW EWS 2 and EWS 3.2 immobilizer (EWS module) in cases when original system restore is impossible (faulty EWS, lost or damaged transponders, continuous problems with rolling codes etc).
1. Remove original EWS2 control unit, find +12v ACC, GND, K-line.
2. Disconnect emulator from K-line, connect K output from emulator to DME(DDE) <-> EWS line.
3. Don t forget to short two starter relay wires (EWS connector)!
4. Car is ready to start.

I tried to operate with the emulator on EWS2. I read the ISN out by INPA having no issues, but have problems with writing it to the emulator. I connected it to 12V, ground and K-line directly to the K-line adapter. I have the right COM port selected, but no luck with writing the ISN into it. Several times I got "No response or device not connected" and several times "Wrong response" error. The jumper was shorted. Any suggestions? Wrong connection, low voltage (actual was 11,46V from the car's battery), wrong software?

What about the software http://www.sinodownloads.com/down/download/ecutool/3505021BMWEWS2EWS3.2EMULATOR.rar
is this not needed? How does emulator learn ISN number?
